FPU, is a well-trained and equipped Police officer to act as a cohesive unit capable of undertaking or accomplishing policing tasks.
FPU, have three core duties; public order management and protection of United Nations personnel FPU was introduced by the Asutifi North District police commander SUP. Paul Ankam to increase the number of policemen in the district to aid in running and patrolling the district.
Thirty-one FPU men were introduced, and the District Chief Executive Hon. Anthony Mensah commended the District Police commander Sup. Paul Ankam for such initiative, then he advised the men to be disciplined and focus on their duties.
