REVENUE TASK FORCE OPERATION ON VEHICLES IN KENYASI

On 23rd September, 2026, the Asutifi North District Assembly Revenue Task Force embarked on an operational exercise on vehicles within Kenyasi as part of measures to improve revenue mobilisation and ensure compliance with the Assembly’s revenue requirements.
The exercise focused on ensuring that vehicles operating within the District had the necessary permits and registrations and that vehicle owners and operators were complying with the payment of their daily vehicle tolls as required by the Assembly.
During the operation, members of the Revenue Task Force engaged vehicle owners and drivers, checked their relevant permits and registration documents, and verified compliance with the payment of applicable daily tolls. Operators who had not fulfilled the required payments were engaged and advised to regularise their obligations.
The exercise also provided an opportunity for the Task Force to educate vehicle operators on the importance of paying their statutory and Assembly-approved fees and tolls. The team emphasised that revenue collected by the Assembly contributes to the provision and maintenance of essential services and development projects within the District.
The operation forms part of the Assembly’s broader efforts to strengthen internally generated funds (IGF), improve revenue compliance, and minimise revenue leakages within the District.
The Revenue Task Force will continue with similar monitoring and enforcement exercises at other locations within the District to ensure that all eligible vehicle operators comply with the Assembly’s revenue requirements.
The operation was successfully undertaken and contributed to efforts aimed at improving revenue mobilisation and compliance among vehicle owners and operators in Kenyasi. The Assembly is committed to sustaining such exercises to enhance revenue generation for the effective delivery of development programmes and services to the people of Asutifi North District.
