TECHNICAL SUB-COMMITTEE MEETING

The Technical Sub-Committee of the Asutifi North District Assembly held a meeting on Wednesday, 22nd January, 2025 at the Asutifi North District Assembly to vet development applications and consider a request for change of land use from residential to commercial in the District. The meeting was held in accordance with the Local Governance Act and the District’s Spatial Planning and Development Control procedures.

The purpose of the meeting was to vet a development application and consider a proposed change of use from residential to commercial, to ensure conformity with planning standards, safety requirements, and the approved planning scheme of the District.

The Committee examined the submitted documents, including the site plan, architectural drawings, and supporting information. Discussions focused on zoning conformity, traffic impact, access, drainage, fire safety, sanitation, and potential environmental and social impacts on adjoining properties.

The Technical Sub-Committee concluded that the proposed change of use meets the technical and planning requirements of the Asutifi North District Assembly. The recommendation was therefore forwarded to the Spatial Planning Committee for further action.
