As part of efforts to deepen community engagement and assess the development needs of localities within the district, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Asutifi North, Hon. Hafiz Dauda, undertook a familiarisation tour of Kenyasi No.1 and Kenyasi No.2 on Friday, 4th April 2025.
The tour was part of the DCE’s ongoing initiative to interact directly with traditional leaders, assembly members, opinion leaders, and residents across the district. It also aimed at strengthening collaboration between the District Assembly and local communities for effective policy implementation and development planning.
The DCE paid courtesy visits to the paramount chiefs and elders of Kenyasi No.1 where he discussed issues of development and governance. A well-attended community meeting was held at the Kenyasi Community Centre, providing a platform for residents to voice their concerns and development priorities. Youth unemployment and skills training needs, Waste management and environmental sanitation.
In his address, Hon. Hafiz Dauda assured the community of the Assembly’s commitment to addressing their concerns within available resources. He urged residents to support government interventions, participate actively in local governance, and maintain peace and unity in the area.
The familiarisation tour to Kenyasi provided valuable insights into the needs of the community and reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to inclusive and participatory development. It also strengthened the relationship between the district leadership and the people of Kenyasi.
