The District Assembly in collaboration with the National Health Insurance Authority organized a ceremony for the commissioning of the newly building office held on 13th June, 2023 at the premises of the district hospital Kenyasi.
The dignitaries includes the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of National Health Insurance Authority, the Ahafo Regional Minister, the Member of Parliament for Asutifi north constituency, the District Chief Executive of Asutifi North District, Director of Administration NHIA, National, Regional and District Heads of Department, Nananom, Hon. Assembly Members and among others.
The Member of Parliament for the Asutifi North Constituency, Hon. Patrick Bannor expressed his profound appreciation to the CEO of National Health Insurance Authority for responding to their plea and coming to the aid of the district, by providing them with a Health Insurance Office.
Also, the District Chief Executive, Hon. Anthony Mensah used the opportunity given him to show gratitude to his Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo for given Kenyasiman their share of the national cake. He further extends his appreciation to management of the District Hospital for bringing health facilities to the doorstep of the people.
The Ahafo Regional Minister, Hon. George Boakye, stated that, when it comes to the Health Sector His Excellency the president has invested health infrastructure more than any other president in the fourth republic. Including; Agenda 111, Zip line Medical drones among other.
He added that roads in and around Kenyasi will be completed.
The CEO of NHIA in his remarks thanked the people of Asutifi North for the warmly welcome. He stated that, the benefits of having the health insurance card is enormous, he therefore implored the electorate to acquire the card. He reported, the authority has introduced a program (Sunshine) to enable the authority pays it beneficiaries monthly. Additional the Authority pays an average amount of $12,000,000.00 to Health Facilities.
In conclusion, the facility was duly commissioned.
