The Asutifi North District Assembly, in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture and other key stakeholders, commemorated the 41st Farmers’ Day Celebration on Friday, 5th December 2025, at Biaso in the Asutifi North District of the Ahafo Region. The celebration formed part of the nationwide observance instituted to honour hardworking farmers and fishers whose efforts contribute significantly to food security, employment creation, and national development.
The celebration was held under the national theme:
“Building Stronger Agribusiness Value Chains for a Resilient Ghanaian Economy.”
The theme highlighted the importance of strengthening agricultural value chains to improve productivity, reduce post-harvest losses, and enhance farmers’ incomes.
The event was attended by several distinguished personalities, including: The District Chief Executive (DCE), Asutifi North District, Member of Parliament (MP) for Asutifi North Constituency, traditional authorities, officials from the District Assembly, heads of decentralised departments, Director of the Department of Agriculture, Security agencies,Farmers, fishers, and the general public.

The event boosted the morale of farmers in the Asutifi North District and reaffirmed the District Assembly’s commitment to supporting agricultural development. The recognition of hardworking farmers will serve as motivation to increase productivity and contribute to food security and economic growth in the district.
