As part of its statutory mandate to ensure effective performance and compliance with national development priorities, the Ahafo Regional Coordinating Council (RCC), led by the Regional Planning Officer Mr. Ntiamoah, undertook a First Quarter Performance Monitoring Visit to the Asutifi North District Assembly on Tuesday, 6th May 2025.
The objective of the visit was to assess the implementation status of programmes and projects outlined in the 2025 Annual Action Plan, evaluate key performance indicators under the District Performance Assessment Tool (DPAT), and identify challenges that may affect service delivery.
The District Chief Executive, Hon. Hafiz Dauda, and the District Coordinating Director, Mr. Samuel Badu Baiden, presented a comprehensive report on the Assembly’s achievements and activities for the first quarter. Key areas highlighted, Implementation of Physical Projects: Progress on education, health, sanitation, and infrastructure projects across the district. Revenue Performance: Assessment of Internally Generated Funds (IGF) against targets and strategies for improvement. Social Services Delivery: Updates on interventions in education, health, and social protection. Governance and Administration: Capacity building of staff, sub-structures functioning, and public engagement.
The monitoring team, comprising officials from the RCC, Regional Departments, and Planning Coordinating Unit, commended the Assembly for progress made in several areas but also pointed out a few things to note.
The visit concluded with a tour of selected project sites within the district, where the team assessed the quality and status of work done and interacted with contractors and beneficiaries.
The First Quarter Monitoring Visit is part of a routine RCC mechanism to ensure transparency, accountability, and alignment with national and regional development objectives.
