CHILD PROTECTION TRAINING WORKSHOP

The Child Protection Training Workshop was organized to strengthen the capacity of stakeholders working with children to identify, prevent, and respond to issues of child abuse, neglect, exploitation, and violence. The training aimed to equip participants with practical knowledge and skills to uphold children’s rights and promote their welfare.

To raise awareness on child protection laws, policies, and frameworks, equip participants with tools to recognize and respond to child protection concerns, promote child-centered approaches in service delivery and advocacy and to foster inter-agency collaboration in the protection of children’s rights.

The training used a participatory approach, including:

  • Interactive lectures and presentations

  • Group discussions and role plays

  • Case studies and real-life scenarios

  • Q&A sessions and feedback round

    The workshop was an eye-opener to participants from various Departments and agencies to Increased awareness and understanding of child protection issues, enhancing the ability to identify and report child abuse cases, strengthening coordination between child protection stakeholders and participants committed to integrating child protection practices into their work.

    The training successfully built the capacity of participants to recognize and respond to child protection concerns. It is expected that the knowledge and skills gained will translate into better outcomes for children in their respective communities and institutions.
