The District Chief Executive, Hon. Anthony Mensah on 13th December 2023, handed over 2,650 pieces of furniture to the District Director of Education for onward distribution to Senior Highs Schools and some Public Basic Schools within the district.
The furniture comprised tables and chairs for Ola Girls S.H.S, Gyamfi Kumanini S.H.T.S and Twereku Apem S.H.S and mono and dual desks for some basic schools.
In addressing the gathering, the DCE stated that, the purpose of this intervention was to solve some of the furniture deficit facing public basic schools within the Asutifi North District and further indicated the Assembly’s commitment to improving educational infrastructure to enhance teaching and learning.
The District Director of Education, Mrs. Asantewaa Naomi expressed her appreciation to the DCE and the Assembly for their continuous support to providing quality education in the district. She pledged that the education directorate would ensure proper maintenance of the furniture.
