ASUTIFI NORTH DISTRICT ASSEMBLY MOBILISES STAKEHOLDERS FOR DISTRICT-WIDE CLEAN-UP EXERCISE

The Asutifi North District Assembly, in collaboration with traditional authorities, successfully organized a district-wide clean-up exercise on 5 May 2026 to promote environmental sanitation and public health across the district.
The exercise brought together residents, institutions, assembly members, security agencies, associations and other stakeholders, who participated actively in cleaning public spaces and improving the general appearance of their communities. Participants were encouraged to bring working tools such as hoes, wheelbarrows, cutlasses, brooms, rakes and shovels to support the exercise.
The initiative underscored the Assembly’s commitment to fostering a clean, healthy and safe environment for all residents. Addressing participants, the District Chief Executive emphasized that collective action and sustained community participation are essential to eliminating sanitation-related diseases and achieving sustainable development.
The Assembly expressed its appreciation to all individuals and organizations that contributed to the success of the exercise and urged residents to continue upholding the principle that “cleanliness is next to godliness” by maintaining clean surroundings at all times.
