The Physical Planning Department of the Asutifi North District Assembly successfully organized a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) training workshop from 12th May to 15th May 2026 at the District Assembly Hall. The training formed part of a regional capacity-building initiative by the Ahafo Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) in collaboration with the GIZ PAIReD Programme to strengthen the technical capacity of Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs) in land use planning and development control.
The workshop brought together members of the Assembly’s Technical Sub-Committee, Physical Planning staff, and other relevant officers to enhance their knowledge and practical skills in the application of GIS for spatial planning and sustainable land management.
