EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING

On Tuesday, 31st March, 2026, the Executive Committee of the Asutifi North District Assembly held a meeting at the District Assembly Conference Hall. The meeting was convened to deliberate on key administrative, financial, and developmental issues affecting the district.

The meeting aimed to Review decisions and recommendations from the various sub-committees, Discuss development projects and programmes within the district, Assess revenue performance and financial management, Make policy recommendations to the General Assembly and Address emerging issues affecting the Assembly.

The meeting was attended by District Chief Executive, District Coordinating Director, Heads of Departments/Units, Chairpersons of Sub-Committees, Finance and Planning Officers and members of the Executive Committee.

The following matters were deliberated upon Sub-Committee Reports: Presentation and review of reports from the Finance and Administration, Development Planning, Social Services, Works Sub-Committees, Agric Sub-Committee and Environment and mining. Development Projects: Progress on ongoing projects and identification of priority areas for intervention. Revenue Mobilization: Strategies to improve Internally Generated Funds (IGF) and minimize revenue leakages. Budget Implementation: Review of budget performance and expenditure control measures. Administrative Matters: Staff performance, logistics, and operational challenges.

The committee observed that there is a need to strengthen coordination among departments, Some projects are progressing steadily, while others require close monitoring, Revenue mobilization efforts need to be intensified and Logistics constraints continue to affect service delivery.

The Committee decided that Sub-committee recommendations should be implemented promptly, Monitoring and supervision of projects should be intensified, Measures should be put in place to improve revenue collection, Adequate logistics should be provided to enhance operational efficiency and Regular meetings should be held to track progress on decisions taken.

The meeting was productive and provided a platform for effective decision-making and coordination. The Executive Committee reaffirmed its commitment to improving governance and accelerating development within the district.
