On 7th August, 2026, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Asutifi North District, Hon. Hafiz Dauda Dabeil, formally handed over a quantity of pentagonal tables and chairs to the District Education Directorate for onward distribution to Kindergarten (KG) schools within the Asutifi North District.
The items were procured as part of the Assembly’s efforts to improve the teaching and learning environment in basic schools, particularly at the Kindergarten level.
The procurement of the pentagonal tables and chairs was funded from 10% of the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF) allocated for the purpose. The use of the fund demonstrates the Assembly’s commitment to supporting education and improving the provision of essential furniture to schools within the District.
During the ceremony, the District Chief Executive, Hon. Hafiz Dauda Dabeil, officially handed over the pentagonal tables and chairs to the District Education Director Madam Naomi Asantewaa.
The DCE emphasized the importance of providing adequate and appropriate furniture for KG pupils to create a conducive environment for teaching and learning. He further expressed the Assembly’s commitment to supporting the education sector and addressing infrastructural and logistical challenges facing schools in the District.
The District Education Director Madam Naomi Asantewaa, received the furniture on behalf of the Directorate. The items are to be distributed to selected Kindergarten schools across the District based on identified needs.
The Directorate was encouraged to ensure that the furniture is properly distributed and used for its intended purpose.
The handing over of the pentagonal tables and chairs on 7th August, 2026 was an important intervention by the Asutifi North District Assembly towards improving the quality of education at the Kindergarten level.
