The Asutifi North District Assembly hold its Second Ordinary Meeting of the Third Session of the Fourth Assembly on Wednesday, 5th August 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at the District Assembly Hall, Kenyasi.
The meeting, which brings together the District Chief Executive, Hon. Member of Parliament, the District Coordinating Director, Honourable Assembly Members, Heads of Departments deliberated on key development and administrative matters aimed at advancing the development agenda of the Asutifi North District.
The meeting commenced with the calling of the meeting to order, followed by opening remarks from the Presiding Member, Hon. Issaka Bawa.
Members subsequently considered the reading, correction and adoption of the minutes of the previous meeting.
A major highlight of the meeting was briefing by the Ahafo Regional Office of the Department of Feeder Roads and the Volta River Authority (VRA) on developments within the District.
The briefing will focus on sectorial activities, ongoing projects, planned interventions and other development initiatives, particularly those relating to road infrastructure and electricity supply.
The Ahafo Regional Manager of the Department of Feeder Roads and the Volta River Authority briefed the House on activities and projects within their respective sectors.
The engagement was expected to provide Honourable Assembly Members with an opportunity to raise concerns, seek clarification and discuss issues affecting road infrastructure and electricity supply in communities across the District.
The interaction was also to strengthen collaboration between the Assembly and the two institutions in addressing infrastructure and energy-related challenges and promoting sustainable development.
The District Chief Executive presented the Sessional Address and Executive Committee Report, followed by deliberations on the reports.
Another important issue was the presentation of the Revised Annual Action Plan (AAP) for 2026. The presentation allowed the members to review the Assembly’s planned activities and interventions for the year.
The Revised Composite Budget for 2026 will also be presented for consideration, providing members with an opportunity to examine the Assembly’s revised financial plans and expenditure priorities.
