On the 12th of February, 2024, the Asutifi North District Assembly inaugurated its fourth Assembly at the forecourt of the Administration block.
The program brought together paramount chiefs, heads of various departments, the assembly members elect, chairpersons of the various youth groups, heads of security services and the general public.
The DCE expressed his sincere appreciation to Nananom and all stakeholders for giving him unflinching support since his assumption of office as a District Chief Executive.
He commended the immediate past assembly members for their hard work, dedication and commitment for which some members’ mandates have been renewed. Additionally, he outlined the successes chalked by the assembly in the areas of education, health, agriculture, local economic development, peace and security among others. He concluded by calling for peace in the upcoming elections.
The occasion was graced by Hon. Nana Yaw Basoa, Ahafo Regional Representative on the Council of State who represented the President. Nana Yaw Basoa extended the president’s warm greetings to all participants and convened a congratulatory message to all elected assembly members. On behalf of the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo- Addo, he admonished members to collaborate with the management to explore innovative strategies to improve revenue mobilization and pursue cost-effective projects that will benefit the electorates. He then declared the fourth Assembly duly inaugurated.
The assembly members were sworn in by the Goaso circuit Judge, His Honour, Charles Kwasi Acheampong.
Hon. Nnuro- Ameyaw Duoduoakwa, the assembly member for Wamahinso South was elected as the Presiding Member.
