World Vision Ghana’s Water Accessibility Initiative in Asutifi North District Assembly

On 8th July 2024, World Vision Ghana, in collaboration with the Asutifi North District Assembly, organized an event to assess and enhance water accessibility in the district. This initiative is part of World Vision’s broader commitment to improving water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services in Ghana, with a focus on ensuring that every household has access to clean and safe water by 2030. The event included the presentation of findings from recent assessments, the inauguration of new water facilities, and discussions on strategies to improve water accessibility in the district.

The Asutifi North District, in Ghana, faces significant challenges in ensuring equitable access to safe drinking water. The partnership between World Vision Ghana and the District Assembly aims to address these challenges by implementing sustainable water projects and engaging communities in managing water resources effectively.

Rebel the term leader commented on the issue of the water system thus, solar powered water system and hand pump water system in the District. Phase 1 has been achieved in the accessibility of the water system.

Phase 2 is to improve upon the Operationalization of the water system and financial services. Improve upon the operationalization of the whole system including Kenyasi No. 2 systems. He also applauds the commitment of the District, He concluded the K2 system will be looked at and addressed it properly.
