On July 19th, 2024, an ICT training program was held at the District Assembly Hall in Asutifi North District. This initiative, organized by the Member of Parliament, Hon. Patrick Bannor, aimed to empower the youth with essential ICT skills to enhance their employability and participation in the digital economy.
provide the youth with foundational skills in Information and Communication Technology, enhance digital literacy prepare participants for opportunities in the tech sector, bridge the digital divide in the Asutifi North District by equipping the youth with relevant skills and foster innovation and creativity through technology.
Over 50 young people from various communities within the Asutifi North District attended the training. Participants included recent graduates, job seekers, and young entrepreneurs eager to improve their ICT skills.
The training adopted a hands-on approach, allowing participants to engage directly with the technology. Facilitators provided demonstrations, followed by practical sessions where participants could apply what they learned. Interactive discussions and Q&A sessions were also held to address specific questions and concerns.
Hon. Patrick Bannor’s commitment to youth empowerment through ICT training is commendable, and continued efforts in this direction will undoubtedly contribute to the socio-economic development of the district.
