The Ahafo Regional Minister, Hon. George Boakye paid a two-day working visit to Asutifi North District from 29th August to 30th August 2022.
The visit formed part of his familiarization tour of the District to pay courtesy calls on the Chiefs and their Traditional Councils to interact with them and obtain first-hand challenges facing their areas as well as their developmental aspirations.
The entourage included the Ahafo Regional Minister, the Member of Parliament for Asutifi North Constituency, the District Chief Executive, the Chief Director from the Regional Coordinating Council, the Deputy Regional Police Commander, District Police Commander, Heads of Department and Units from both the Regional Coordinating Council and the District Assembly.
On the first day of the tour 16 communities converged at four separate venues thus; Gambia NO.2, Wamahinso, Gyedu and Kwakyekom. On the second day, the entourage visited Kensere, Koforidua and Atwedie with about 15 communities converging at the three venues.
The Chiefs and Elders of those communities visited requested numerous developmental projects such as establishing Community SHS, extending electricity to new areas, and reshaping roads.
The Minister in his responses promised to channel their challenges to the appropriate offices for redress.
