IRC Ghana, in collaboration with the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC), convened the fourth National Learning Exchange event on the theme: “Local systems strengthening to deliver safe and sustainable water sanitation and hygiene (WASH) services: Reflections on the district-wide approach towards meeting the targets for Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6.”
The learning event took place at the Fiesta Royale Hotel, Dzorwulu, Accra, on Wednesday, 27 October 2021. The event brought together a wide range of stakeholders, including ten Metropolitan Municipal and District Assemblies, the National Development Planning Commission, the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources, the Water Resources Commission, the Water Research Institute, the Community Water and Sanitation Agency, and the Ghana Water Company Limited.
The learning exchange provided a platform for stakeholders implementing district-wide approaches to share their experiences. The Asutifi North District Assembly participated in the event and shared its experiences and lessons from the ongoing ANAM WASH initiative.
