The Kenyasi Employment Centre, located in the Asutifi North District of Ghana’s Ahafo Region, was officially commissioned on November 28, 2024. This initiative is part of the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations’ efforts to enhance employment services across the country. The centre offers various services, including linking job seekers to available job vacancies, providing job counselling, canvassing for job opportunities, and offering training programs.
The establishment of the Kenyasi Employment Centre aligns with the Ministry’s broader objectives to promote job creation and development, as outlined in their 2024 budget estimates. These objectives include facilitating the formation of small-scale businesses through cooperative systems and providing support services to registered cooperative societies to ensure their effectiveness.
By providing these services, the Kenyasi Employment Centre aims to address unemployment challenges in the region, particularly among the youth, by equipping them with the necessary skills and opportunities to secure gainful employment.
