MONITORING OF DEPARTMENTAL ACTIVITIES BY THE DEPUTY LOCAL GOVERNMENT MINISTER HON.COLLINS NTIM

On November 5th 2022, the Deputy Minister for Local Government, Hon. Collins Ntim, conducts a monitoring exercise in various departments. It was well executed and in the process, it was well known and understanding and improving the execution of projects, programmes, and public policies at the political, technical, and administrative levels (i.e., improving spending quality). Increasing the participation of citizens and accountability for the prioritization of resource allocation, and the progress and outcomes of projects, programmes, and public policies.

  Monitoring was well carried out in these sectors Education, Agriculture and Health

In the Education sector, the monitoring was conducted to introduce structured materials and support for professional learning sessions focusing on phonics and teaching at the right level. Provide structured, on-the-job education leadership training for all primary education schools and ensured that textbooks and other teaching and learning materials reach classrooms Assist  District Education Offices in prioritising objectives and overseeing their achievement, providing supportive supervision to this end in this District  Assembly, we further on proceed with the agriculture sector,

The Agriculture  Department made us known that have moved with a lot of work in the District Assembly, the planting for food and jobs(PFJ), MAG and the introduction of new technology for rearing pigs thus IMO TECHNOLOGY as well effectively carried in the district which promotes social economic development.

 Furthermore, the health sector works on was more concerned with the mortality rate and childbirth in the Asutifi North District, Skilled care before, during and after childbirth can save the lives of women and newborn babies, Young adolescents face a higher risk of complications and death as a result of pregnancy than older women.

 Hon. Collins Ntim commended all the sectors for their wonderful implementation of activities and programmes.
