On November 5, 2022, the Deputy Minister for Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development, Hon. Collins Ntim visited the Assembly to monitor and evaluate government flagship programmes.
The District Chief Executive, Hon. Anthony Mensah thanked the Minister for taking off his busy schedules to visit the Assembly. He mentioned that, the Assembly will continue to ensure that, all government flagship programmes are effectively implemented in the District to improve on the living condition of people.
He called on the Head of the Departments of Ghana Education Service, Agriculture and Ghana Health Services to make a brief presentation on their efforts made in the various projects.
The Hon. Minister commended the Head of Departments for their wonderful implementation of government flagship programmes and expressed his appreciation to Hon. Anthony Mensah for supporting them with the needed resource in making their work successful.
The Hon. Minister in addressing the gathering, he applauded the Assembly for the good work done in terms of the sectors under review. He therefore implores management of the assembly to officially request for office accommodation from his Ministry to absorb the overcrowding numbers.
He also mentioned that, the sustainability of government policies depends largely on the District Assemblies as there are the key implementers. He advised the Assembly to supervise and monitor government policies to ensure their effective execution.
