SPATIAL PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING

The Spatial Planning Committee of the Asutifi North District Assembly held a meeting on 28th April 2025 at the District Assembly Hall to deliberate on and approve proposed developmental projects within the District. The meeting was convened in line with the Committee’s mandate to ensure orderly physical development and compliance with planning regulations.

The meeting was chaired by the District Coordinating Director (DCD) / Chairperson of the Spatial Planning Committee. Members present included representatives from: Physical Planning Department, Works Department, Environmental Health Department, Ghana National Fire Service, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Relevant Heads of Department and Technical Officers.

The primary purpose of the meeting was to consider and approve three (3) proposed developmental projects within the Asutifi North District, in accordance with the District Spatial Development Framework and existing planning regulations.

The Committee reviewed the site plan, layout design, and supporting documents. After deliberations, the project was found to be consistent with the approved planning scheme.

Decision: Approved, subject to compliance with all relevant building codes and environmental requirements.

The Spatial Planning Committee successfully approved three developmental projects aimed at promoting orderly growth and socio-economic development within the Asutifi North District. Members expressed satisfaction with the quality of submissions and reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring effective spatial planning in the District.
