The Ahafo Regional Coordinating Director, Mr. Amoako Kwarteng paid a working visit to Asutifi North District Assembly on 17th May, 2023.
The purpose of his visit was to obtain at first-hand information, the performance of staff of the Assembly.
He met management and staff to explain some local government service polices/programmes. The Chief Director implored on the staff of the Assembly to be punctual to work and eschew active participation in partisan politics. However, staff who engage in partisan politics risk being sanctioned.
The Chief Director further mentioned the introduction of Health Insurance scheme for staff of local government service by the Office of the Head of Local Government Service in collaboration with Nationwide Medical Insurance Company (NMIC). He encouraged all staff to subscribe to the scheme, when the officers of the company come to explain the insurance policy to the staff of the Assembly.
However, the staff of the Assembly raised some issues concerning upgrades, promotions among others and pleaded with the Chief Director to forward their concerns to the Office of the Head of Local Government Service.
The District Coordinating Director, Mr. Samuel Badu-Baiden thanked the Chief Director and his team for visiting the Assembly and promised to make sure all issues raised will be addressed.
